Stations of The Cross
This year, we are privileged to have an amazing place to walk the Stations of the Cross, commemorating the evenings of Jesus procession to the Cross on the Friday of His death. Notre Dame Retreat Center has opened their grounds on the evening of Tuesday, April 12th between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00. The stations are rendered in metal statuary set in a peaceful setting with Canandaigua Lake and the surrounding hills as a backdrop. They tell the story of Jesus’ suffering from the moment He is condemned to die until He is laid in the tomb.
To guide your walk, volunteers will read the scripture depicted in each scene. Then you’ll be given time to reflect and pray before going to the next station. Join us to experience Jesus’ final hours in a truly moving way
For more information, contact the church office at 394-2760. This will be a rain or shine event. It may be your only opportunity to ever do this because there are plans for the retreat center to close in 2023.
